For each major town or topic, the goal apparently was an attempt to collect various examples of every pictorial, slogan or special cancel on a variety of matter from letter mail to printed matter to special Third Reich postal cards, and with examples showing the "lifespan" of the marking as well as its similar replacements. Casual perusal reveals a wealth of scarce to rare pictorial postal cards in sets, numerous Nazi propaganda items and multi-coloured illustrated cards incl. Militaria, "Stamp Day" thematic items from many different towns, also valuable FDC's, as well as covers showing scarce official and slogan pmks., with enough 1936 Olympics material to form the basis of its own collection, Sudeten town pmks. on 235 covers cards or pieces, commemorative frankings including wonderful se-tenants, semi-postals, and a few miniature sheets, etc., with the whole being the kind of resource that a dealer or specialist of this area and era can only dream about. Loaded with items that routinely sell for £10 to £20 or more (as well as more modest material), and virtually nothing that cannot be easily categorised as a "specialty" item. An open window into the sociology, politics, economics and history of the "Thousand Year Reich" which is probably not to be duplicated in this depth.
